Prof. Wancheng ZhuDr Wancheng Zhu is professor of rock mechanics at the School of Resource and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University, specializing in damage of rock-like materials and the coupled multiphysics in rock mechanics. He received his PhD in Mining Engineering from Northeastern University China in 2001. He was former Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow of Germany, and was selected to enter the “New Century Talents in Universities in China” program supported by China Ministry of Education in 2006. Dr Zhu is the author of a book and over 100 technical papers, in which 25 papers are indexed by Science Citation Index (SCI). He is also the awardee of 1 State Scientific and Technological Progress Award and of 5 other awards granted by Liaoning Province and Ministry of Education of China.

Mr. Changning WuWu is a Ph.D.candidate in Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University. He is engaged in fundamental and applied researches in the areas of chemical reaction engineering. The specific researches involve developing fast X-ray computed tomography (XCT) technique for multiphase flow, developing novel multizone circulating reactor (MZCR), developing the technique for coal pyrolysis to acetylene in plasma reactor, modeling and simulation of multiphase reacting flows and so forth. These researches are of relevance to fuel production, energy generation, and chemical production, etc. | |

Mr. Daan CuiDaan Cui is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has obtained B.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering and stayed at DICP’s Fuel Cell Laboratory to earn a Ph.D. in the field of Fuel Cell from 2005. He will finish his PhD thesis for his work on Fuel Cell at DICP in 2009. Now, He has published two papers in 'AICHE Journal' and 'Journal of Power Sources'. | |
